YEEZY TAUGHT YOU WELL.
Last Wednesday we went to XOYO for an incredible mid-weeker. The gig was put on by Re-imagine. A 16-piece orchestra playing the WHOLE Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album. Unreal Vibes. Heaven, seriously nothing short of that.
Have been listening to the album non-stop since then. Kanye is such a creative genius. Everyone should be a little more Kanye.
Following the success of their first show (it sold out in minutes), Re-Imagine London have put on three more shows and a Destiny’s Child rendition as well. GO GO GO.
Two weekends ago the man friend and I went to the Isle of Wight Festival 2013.
We rocked out to the Stone Roses, Bloc Party, The Killers, Emilie Sande, Sub Focus, Bon Jovi and so many more. They had hip hop karaoke – amazing! – a beach bar, hot tubs, the classic nasty festival food and oh so much Carling. It was such a chilled out start to the summer and festival season, take me back please.

this weekend we went to see kendrick himself at the o2 academy bristol.
this compton kid has got a lot of talent to offer! 2012 has been his year: Nas called good kid, m.a.a.d city one of his favourite albums of 2012 and KL is now nominated for a MTV annual Woodie award. Cast your vote on the MTV Woodie hub here!
his gig was amazing. wasn’t on for nearly long enough but amidst the clouds of smoke, flap caps, sweaty jerseys and chains hanging low you could see how much Kendrick loves what he does and appreciates his fans.
After his gig, i discovered Section.80 – his album released in 2011. Ronald Reagan is my new fave. Don’t know about you, but i always get even more into artists after seeing them live. Must have something to do with appreciating just how talented and passionate they are.

i found the most magical place in london. it’s called columbia road. head down there on a sunday and you enter a different world. one full of flowers, happiness, crafts, cakes, fashion, design and lovely music to fill your ears while you take every little detail in.
we stopped off at the cutest little bakery. Lily Vanilli. if you every find yourself in this fairytale make sure you go! get a big cup of their famous hot chocolate and some stuff on toast. literally that’s what it’s called. yum.
